Twelve is the best age. It’s so … easy, fun, and not at all awkward or anything.

Which is why we’re going to tell you twelve reasons why.

You ready to go?

Noice.*

*Written by Leone Francesca with fighting input from Jennifer Margulis. U may be too old to understand the alternative spelling, slang, & punctuation. Poo on u. It’s intentional.

1. You always get to do what you want

Ur parents don’t put limits on u or anything. It’s not like they tell u that u can’t watch TV or play video games or have an iPhone or drink root beer or eat delicious cheeze puffs. Na bruv!

2. Everything is kewl

Life is, like, totally awesome bro. When you’re twelve you don’t wake up in the morning feeling emo. Ever.

3. Friendships are easy

There’s never any drama. It’s not like your best friends invite ur two worst enemies to ur group chat without asking u first.

4.   Your parents listen to great “music.”

It’z totes da best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your parents—who totes aren’t old & boring & not fun at all—listen to music you just love when ur twelve.

5.   There are no chores like at all!!!!!!!!

No cleaning ur room or scrubbing b-rooms or making dinner for the fam once a week or whatever.

6.   You remember everything

It’s not like u forget things or get distracted or can’t remember to clear ur plate or put the milk back in the fridge. Like come on bro!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
