Dusting my house is like painting the Golden Gate Bridge. By the time it all gets done, it’s time to start over again.

That's a good point. You must have a big house! It's much more important to dust if you have small children pulling up and chewing on the windowsills (yum); it's also good to sweep and mop if there are babies crawling on the floor. But being too clean is problematic too, of course, and it's not good to be obsessive compulsive or drive yourself crazy. It's a Hegelian dialectic. You have to find the right balance.

I try, and try not to stress. Basset hound fur is a home decor accent. But cobwebs and spider webs are a deal breaker. Got some swept up today.

50/50 Dawn soap/vinegar in a spray bottle is at the kitchen sink and every shower stall. Disposable toilet wands and UV sterilizing lights, and bleach wipes are a must in bathrooms.

I try to do the easy stuff every day. If I had Bruce Wayne’s butler Alfred, Martha Stewart would be envious.

Jennifer, you are a very intelligent person who doesn’t need to use inappropriate words to get your point across. Please refrain from using the “f” word.

Thanks for your input, Mr. Bessette. For the record, I only swear in writing on Substack. I do swear like a sailor in private. But if you'd rather read the clean and non-F-wordy me, please check out this link: https://www.theepochtimes.com/author-jennifer-margulis and if you'd like to hear the clean and non-sailor-y me, you can find my audio features (as well as many articles about arts and culture) here: https://www.ijpr.org/people/jennifer-margulis

Personally I thought that that particularly important statement need an exclamatory obscenity. To drive home the point!👏👏👍❤🤗

Thank you Jennifer for receiving my input so graciously. I’ve been following you for quite some time now and I admire your courage to speak your opinion. I also am a loyal subscriber to the Epoch Times.

Perhaps Mr Bessette should write his own column, if he’s so offended…..

Love you and your verbiage!

Merci pour ce commentaire, Independent Thinker. I enjoyed both the sentiment and its expression. If I ever mistake your for you're or its for it's, I will send you a free book and some art cards of your choice. I cringe at the very thought of making such egregious grammatical mistakes...

When I moved into my house a few years ago, the previous owner has used so many fake lavender plug-ins to hide dog smell that it took months of air purifiers running daily to rid us of the toxics smells. But my initial cleaning regiment included cleaning the walls with a Norwex mop and water.
