Sage and uplifting advice, much needed in this doom and gloom world.
I am sorry for all you've been through--I knew you had medical issues but not the nature of them. My mother--and father--have been visiting me as well, in my dreams, and in the presence of their spirit animals on my land. I feel their presence deeply. They are here to support and guide us. Prayers and peace...
It's wonderful that you get to visit with them in your dreams, Professor Mus. I think I had to lose my eye in order to open my eyes (and mind and heart) to the unseen world. I'm grateful for all of it. But it has not been easy.
I am so sorry that you lost an eye to see. I’m grateful I haven’t lost any body parts (maybe a bit of my heart) to open myself, though the journey remains challenging. It took over a decade before my father came to me; mom a year after her passing. I do wonder if our departed loved ones are always with us but we haven’t yet figured out how to know they are with us. Peace…
I think you're right. I had to lose my eye in order to see as much. I am learning to believe in angels (and God, and the divine wisdom of the universe.) Imperfectly. But learning.
I saw a very lovely embroidered poster at the church where my friend and I walked a labyrinth on New Year's Day that said something along the lines of even if you pray with half your voice, imperfectly, from the depths of suffering, God will still hear you and be with you. I liked that concept a lot. I think that prayers work but I don't really know *how* to pray. As I wrote above, I am very much a work in progress.
The way I see it, God hears and knows all our thoughts and feelings anyway, and prayer is just thinking and feeling intentionally, directed to Him. And to do so in faith.
That 123123 made me think of dancing the Waltz right into the New Year. You have been through much and I love your spirit. Happy New Year and may it be the best ever!
jennifer, i hope you be well and i’m grateful for your philosophy.i love your mom and her writing. and appreciated her ‘signing onto ‘ the 911 skeptics. when she died i felt badly you lost her so young. and was impressed by her pond swimming laps, gusto for life and true iconoclasm of courage.
i’m frequently, as in today, sourcing her book ‘dazzle gradually.’ am researching spirochetes since i have resurgence of lyme from 13 years ago. i took three weeks doxycyclene then which wrecked my gut.
actually, current creaky joints likely from a diff tick bite last may. refusing to take antibiotics, to dismay of family. i’m healthy, active, 75. maybe homeopathy will work and the tinctures i just started: teasel, japanese knotweed, and cat’s claw.
anyone have success stories without antibios? i was told heavy exercise and heat can push spirochetes into hiding. any suggestions helpful. lynn bradbury, lubec, maine
There is a wonderful herbalist near Boston, Massachusetts that specializes in Lyme disease and other tick borne illnesses. The practice is called Bear Medicine Holistic Services. The herbalist is named Tommy Priester.
Today I got some news about some serious dental work I need done. I've been trying to face it straight on, but in truth, it's depressing me... But now I read this... and what you are facing down ...and I feel like an ant. Thank you for reminding me what real courage is. This is why we are here. Good luck and God bless!
I'd love to know what Rick Kirschner's new edgy take on Israel's foreign policy is. I have a hunch, based on his new edgy take on the covenant of circumcision, where he presumably knows better than God and the Torah. Extrapolating, he may well feel embarrassed at Israel's stubborn insistence on survival, when all the cool kids know Israel needs to just go away.
I'm one of the old fashioned people, not interested in new edgy takes, so I think I will take a hike. Remember Ayn Rand's quote: You can evade reality, but you cannot evade the consequences of evading reality.
Love it. So sorry for what you’ve been through.
Thanks John. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And I'm still standing (a little off balance, battling DISEQUILIBRIUM, but standing...)

Beautiful and excellent advise
I thought so too. ❤️❤️❤️
I'll be happy for the small bag of pretzels, but pray for no more of the cargo loads of pretzel logic they've been forcing down our throats!
Blessings to you JM - I too, feel my Mom's loving presence since her passing last year. We are NOT alone - Angels all Around ...

I think it was Lame Deer who said "What you see with your eyes closed is most important." Blessings to you on your recovery.
Thank you for this shot of joy and faith and love of God--and the Count. :)))
Your welcome. LOL. And thanks for reading. xo
Yes, have to keep a positive outlook....easier said that done. Prays work.

Just talk to him. It's just my opinion, but I think he just likes to hear from us.
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing ❤️
Wonderful advice. I pray that you reach all your goals and the trip is easier than you thought.
Thank you Lorna. I do too. xoxo
Adorable.

Thank you for this.
How awful to lose an eye. Keep strong and, as we said in the Movement, "Keep the Faith1"
Should be read on every flight for real.
